Making smart and effective use of video production could boost your search ranking, according to an industry insider.
Dan Tate, chief operating officer of the Concrete Network, spoke to MarketingSherpa and recommended making short videos that were clearly related to keywords in order to enhance consumers trust.
He claimed that this trust begins to grow after people watch four or five videos and advised having bunches of related clips to make the most efficient use of video production.
But he added: "Search is not easy. There's no magical pixie dust that you can throw out and gain traffic."
Mr Tate commented that five minutes is too long for a video, as people's attention span isn't much more than three minutes, although they are likely to watch several videos.
Research by Pew Internet has shown that 89 per cent of people aged between 18 and 29 watch online videos and 36 per cent of such users will do so on a daily basis.
